Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees & Students at Workplace

The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) has taken a proactive step in ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all its students, faculty, and staff by establishing an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This committee serves as a crucial mechanism for addressing and resolving any grievances or complaints related to sexual harassment at workplace and create awareness about the issue.  The committee is mandated by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) within the university community.
