Greetings from Director, Student Services Division!

The Distance Education System is learner centric education system. The learner is treated as client in this system and s/he is entitled to get the entire required academic and administrative services to advance his/her studies and make learning a memorable experience. The learners are required to be motivated to progress their education through human support at their Study Centres/Learner Support Centres, Regional Center and the University level. The learners need to get immediate attention to their issues and it is the responsibility of all the staff members to try their level best to resolve the issues of learners. We have developed mechanism with the help of modern computer system to interact with Study Centres/Learner Support Centres and the Regional Centers and take their feedback regarding their function and how best they can provide quality services to learners. The university has made extensive use of technology right from the registration of students to their evaluation and at every stage the SSD and the related divisions extend their assistance to learners in case they face any problems. In the present competitive world, the DE system, the departments and the staff need to develop learner friendly approach in them so as to cater to the educational needs of the society and develop the system. In our department, we have developed the approach and make every endeavor to provide quality services to learners. We have given due emphasis on training of manpower involved at the Regional Centres and the Study Centres/ Learner Support Centres to make them more efficient, skilled and sensitive to learners’ issues. The Regional Centres have been supported with computers and connectivity, enabling them to communicate, be in touch with the learners, Headquarters and serve the learners. The Study Centres/Learner Support Centres have been equipped with computers and internet facility from the resources they have received from the University through Study Centre/Learner Support Centre share enhancing their efficiency and quality in providing learner services.
